Mounting:
The phone mount base will be securely mounted and bolted at the back of the center panel using two 6mm bolts. This is to ensure the mount won't fall off even with those 2JZ swaps :)
The mount pivots in any direction so you can set it up to point at you at any direction. Works for both LHD and RHD cars.
Charging/Wiring:
Whether you're using the wireless Magsafe or wired charger, we have designed this mount to be fully "wire tucked" The cable wires will be tucked behind the center panel. One end of the cable will be connected to your power supply (normally cigarette lighter or USB mod) and the other end will come out of the phone mount exposing only the required length of cable. No more dangling wires in front of you.
The mount also works very well with our Ashtray Pocket with USB or with our Dual Gauge Pod with USB as shown on the photos. Having this combo gives you the ultimate wire tuck look.

1. Magsafe Mount with QI Enabled Wireless charging
Compatible with iPhone12 and newer You must use a compatible magsafe case for this to fully work.
The mount will have a hands free charging feature. (USB-C to USB cable included)
2. Universal Magnetic Mount
Works best for older phones which don't have the new Magsafe technology. You must use the supplied metal plate for the magnetic feature to work. Plate can be installed with a case.
3. Universal Clip
For those who don't want to use a magnetic plate, we have a standard adjustable spring loaded clip solution. It will fit and accommodate most phones.
4. Base Mount Only
Use your own mount! You can also purchase the base mount piece without any of our mounting accessories. Feel free to use you own mount. (17mm ball compatible)
Note: If you have a larger ball than 17mm like the RAM mounts, just contact us and we can make a custom one for you.

No, a magnet will not damage your smartphone’s...battery
Smartphones use lithium-ion batteries. According to The Guardian:
Lithium-ion batteries found in most smartphones and electronics have a metal oxide cathode made of a cobalt, nickel, manganese or iron mix, a porous graphite anode that holds lithium ions within it and a lithium salt electrolyte.
Positively charged lithium ions travel through the electrolyte from the anode to the cathode driving electrons through the smartphone as required and back to the anode.
Since the materials for batteries are not magnetic, they are not affected by our magnets in any way.

While it is true that smartphone speakers use magnets, it is also true that the placement of the magnet on your Rokform case or mount will be located in a different place from your smartphone’s speakers. Your speakers will not be affected by the magnets.

The electric compass in your phone uses sensors to identify your cardinal direction. These sensors can be affected by very strong magnetic fields (think industrial or laboratory-strength magnets). Our team conducts tons of tests prior to product launch to make sure our cases function properly with the rest of your smartphone, and this includes a compass test. Because of the location of our magnets vs the location of the compass sensors in your phone, we can say confidently that the compass works great with our Rokform cases and mounts.
GPS does not rely on the electric compass built into your phone. Instead, your GPS tool uses receivers and GPS satellites to triangulate your position. These are not affected by magnets next to your phone.
